Overview
Medical Aesthetics have become prevalent in our practices. However, not all training prepares providers to recognize and handle complications. This presentation provides guidance on recognizing and treating complications for the two most common medical aesthetics treatments - neuromodulators (Tox) and dermal fillers. Other complications may be discussed.
Speakers
Experienced health care executive, educator and doctoral-prepared dual-certified nurse practitioner (Family & Emergency) with 24+ years of leadership, process improvement, strategic planning, implementation and evaluation experience. Comfortable working in ambiguous/dynamic environments and developing cohesive, highly productive teams to identify, develop, and implement relevant services/processes and strategic plans to meet current and future healthcare operations. Familiar with academic program, hospital, and clinic certification and re certification. Experience spans academic, clinical acute, ambulatory, rural/austere) and Military/VA healthcare / clinical operations and environments. Maintains current traditional medical NP practice and incorporates components of acupuncture, TCM and alternative medicine to expand patient care services and improve patient outcomes.
