Healthcare fraud cost billions per year. NPs can be at risk by what they do not know. It could jeopardize the NP's ability to provide care, result in fines or jail time, and affect their reputation. Learn about cases from the OIG across the country, who was involved, what constitutes fraudulent activity, what transpired during the investigations and outcomes with respect to fines and jail time. Learn how to protect yourself from becoming an unwitting participant.
